Pie Day 2025

PIE = Public. Intentional. Explicit.

These are the standards we hold ourselves to as an Affirming congregation. March 14 is PIE Day each year (3.14, the opening digits in the famous math concept of Pi!), a national celebration of Affirming values, and a chance to serve some literal pie and roll out the PIE by celebrating the full inclusion of LGBTQIA+ and Two-Spirit people in faith communities across Canada. Once again, we celebrated "PIE day" at Emmanuel on March 9 with worship and pie.

We have begun a small library of books and resources to support our education about important topics related to both the support of LGBTQUI+ people and to other marginalized people.
