Guest Speaker
We recently hosted an evening with speaker Sydney Brouillard-Boyle (Ney/Nem). Sydney is the Education lead at Transwellness Ontario.

Next Steps (February 2023)
We have been active over the past year providing opportunities to hear guest speakers, participate in diversity training, engage in bible study, have a pulpit exchange with MCC, provide resources, and talk with another local congregation that has been through the affirming process. We want to continue in our journey to being a welcoming and safe space for all. We are now welcoming members to participate in a survey about our next steps and always to have the opportunity for discussion with our Minister or the co-chairs of our Affirming committee. The survey is available at the church.

Windsor Pride Community Diversity Training Workshop
On November 12, 2022 , members of Emmanuel participated in an excellent workshop presented by the Windsor Pride organization, giving us an opportunity to learn, reflect and have discussions about creating a welcoming and affirming environment for everyone, with awareness and sensitivity to 2SLGBTQIA+ issues and barriers to belonging.

PIE Day 2023
We celebrated PIE (Public, Intentional, Explicit) day with what else? pie!
